Day 1

Paro : A warm welcome to Bhutan

Upon your arrival at the international airport in Paro, you will be received by the tour agent’s representative who will help you with your transfers to your hotel. As you reach your hotel, complete the check-in formalities and then relax for a while.

Later in the day, your Bhutan family tour itinerary will take you for a visit to Paro Taktsang Monastery, meaning the Tiger’s Nest in Bhutanese.

Paro Taktsang Monastery: Located at an approximate elevation of 3,120 meters from the sea level, atop a cliff in Paro Valley, Taktsang Monastery is one of the most religious, iconic and beautiful places to visit in Bhutan. Also known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’, Taktsang Monastery is the place where Guru Padmasambhava meditated and sanctified Bhutan in the 8th century.

Day 2

Thimphu: Blissful religious tour

Paro Rinpung Dzong: Founded in 15th century and renovated by Ngawang Namgyal, Rinpung Dzong is an ancient monastery-cum-fortress that displays the flamboyance of ancient Bhutanese architecture. Rinpung Dzong had a great significance in terms of defending Paro Valley from the invasions of Tibet.

Now a famous tourist attraction, this ancient monastery offers absolutely picturesque views of the surrounding landscape

Kyichu Temple: With the history dating back to 7th-century, this Himalayan Buddhist temple is believed to be one of the oldest and most picturesque temples in Bhutan. The Jowo Jampa Statue in the inner hall, the Chenrezig statue in the outer hall and the statue of Guru Rinpoche add to the structural beauty of the temple.

Day 3

Thimphu: Sightseeing in stunning Thimphu

Motithang Takin Preserve: A wildlife reserve in Thimphu in order to protect Takin - the national animal of Bhutan.

Tashichho Dzong: Situated next to the bank of Wangchu River, Tashichho Dzong is an expansive complex having well-maintained lawns and gardens within. This monastery-cum-fortress is believed to have been constructed in the early 13th century by Lama Gyalwa Lhanangpa. It houses various offices of government and the king of Bhutan.

Crafts Bazaar: A hub of Bhutanese art and culture where tourists enjoy shopping for traditional handicrafts, clothes and various other forms of artwork.

National Folk Heritage Museum: It’s a major tourist attraction in Thimphu, especially for families and kids. The museum showcases rich Bhutanese culture and traditions in the form of rural artifacts and equipment.

Day 4

Paro: The day of departure

Treat your taste buds to a delectable breakfast at the hotel and then get ready to check out from the hotel as your family holiday in Bhutan enters its last day. You will be transferred to the international airport in Paro from where you catch your flight back home.
